Holiday Travel Tips

2009-11-23

With the holiday travel upon us, the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport would like to remind travelers to plan ahead before you head to the airport to make your travel experience one that you can enjoy.

Here are a few important things to remember:

·                    The airlines at AZO suggests checking in at least 90 minutes prior to departure, especially  during peak travel times from November 21, 2009 – January 3, 2010.

·                    Terminal curb fronts are for active loading and unloading only.  Keep in mind; the first 30 minutes are free in the short-term lot.

·                    Put identification tags in and on all baggage including laptops.

·                    For the adult traveler (18+), keep available your boarding pass and government issued photo i.d. until exiting the security checkpoint.

·                    Remember the 3-1-1 for carry ons.  3-ounce or smaller containers of liquid or gel, 1-quart size clear plastic zip-top bag holding the containers, 1-bag per traveler placed in the security bin.

·                    Pack larger quantities of liquids and gels in checked luggage.

·                    Travel with unwrapped gifts
